Oh, I just realized I didn't answer your last question about what happens if they decide not to pay the factor. That largely depends on the agreement if you have with your factor, but in most cases your company will have to reimburse the factor for the amount they advanced to you.

Hey Midcoast Marine (like the name by the way),

That really depends on a few things. Do you have other financing options available? I'm not sure about the amount of cash you are in need of, but often a loan from a bank will get you a better rate than invoice factoring ( I know that seems weird, because with factoring the factor has an asset to back it up against). Here's what I would do: look at rates for a loan, look at invoice factoring rates (usually around 2% per month which is about 12% per year), look at any other financing options and take the one with the lowest interest rate. Don't hesitate to contact some of the factors and get their rates. You'll probably need to get the weasels on the phone because nobody likes telling you the true price unless they can try to sale you.

Best,

Brenda,

Thanks for commenting. As of right now I'm unaware of any affiliate programs. Sorry,

The concept of Invoice factoring is very interesting. I was wondering if you were aware of any affliate programs that are being offered in this area that I can partner with?
